I am currently the Chol-operative Associate Producer at Chol, a children’s theatre company based across Sheffield and Huddersfield.
Projects:
-
Young Producers Internship Programme (Sheffield)
Assisted in the delivery of the internship programme alongside Chol Co-Director Lauren Ash, which aimed to provide mentoring for 8 young producers.
As part of my role I lead a series of skills-building workshops, creative project consultations and 1-to-1 career talks with the Young Producers to empower them to begin their journey in the creative industries.
Over 6 months the Young Producers were able to develop their understanding and practical skills of producing during this programme and were able to plan, produce and deliver 3 digital events during lockdown.
-
Our Biennale Finale Exhibition
Leading on the production management, curation and delivery of a mixed-media arts exhibition across 6 shop units in Huddersfield Piazza.
The exhibition featured work from local children that had been created during ‘Our Biennale’ a 2-year programme of events and workshops with schools and youth groups across Kirklees. The Finale exhibition brought together all of the work created into a physical 2-day exhibition and an online digital platform.
The event featured sculpture, installation, film, music, fine art, promenade sound walks, and in-person workshops.

Upcoming: Kirklees Windrush Mural Project
Leading on the development of a permanent outdoor art piece in Huddersfield Town Centre celebrating the impact of the Windrush Generation in Kirklees.
I am delighted to have led on the bid securing £18k government funding from the Windrush Day Grant Scheme and so this project is now in the early stages of development.
We will be partnering with Kirklees Local Television to deliver this project, using their incredibly vast archive of stories and testimonies from the Windrush generation and their descendants living in Kirklees.
