I’m Lauren a creative producer and writer based in Yorkshire.
My experience spans theatre, short film, live events, community arts, and digital experiences, and I am keenly interested in projects that promote cross-collaboration between mediums and art-forms.
I have worked with organisations such as Sheffield Theatres, Leeds Playhouse, Leeds 2023, ARC Stockton, Cast, The Lowry, Chol Theatre, ThickSkin, Lawrence Batley Theatre, Right Up Our Street, and The Children’s Art School.
In 2023 I became an Associate Producer on the West End Transfer of 2 x Olivier Award-winning musical Standing At The Sky’s Edge marking my introduction to the commercial theatre sector.
I am currently Co-Artistic Director of Mad Friday Productions a women-led production company originating and producing new writing from Northern, intersectional and neurodiverse perspectives. Our first production, Children of the Night, completed a sell-out run at Cast, Doncaster, and was shortlisted for both The 2023 Women’s Prize For Playwriting and New Diorama’s 2024 Untapped Award.
In 2019, I was selected to be part of the BFI’s Creative Producer Lab, where I expanded my practice to include film. During COVID, I was accepted onto the BFI Film Hub North’s Climate Comedy Lab as a writer/director, where I created A Toxic Relationship, a 2-minute micro-short produced by Hell Fire! TV.
